ABOUT NEIL

I am semi-retired and live on Phillip Island in Australia. I have two adult children - a daughter and a son.

I have been taking photos since I got my first camera in 1965 - mainly family, holiday and travel snaps. About six years ago I started taking horse racing photos at Melbourne tracks. From then until now I've continued taking photos at Victorian tracks and occasionally overseas.

Although horse racing is my main photographic interest, I photograph other sports as well, including surfing and motor sports. I also enjoy bird photography. My complete portfolio is on Photo.net. It can be accessed through the Photo.net URL on the Links page of this site.

Phillip Island is a gem of a place for photography. I am no more than a ten minute drive from the GP circuit for motorcycle and car racing events; or from surf beaches for international surfing events; or from beach and bush reserves for the abundant wildlife. A photographic paradise really.

My other interests include woodwork, weight training, kayaking, learning to speak Cantonese and looking after my Munsterlander dogs.
